mfslicinfo
Display MooseFS licence information from one or more master servers.
This page reproduces the manual page mfslicinfo(1) as the product ships it: the text man mfslicinfo prints on a machine where the packages are installed. It is not edited here, and where it disagrees with the rest of this documentation, the documentation is the side kept against the sources. What the subject is: Command line tools.
Synopsis
mfslicinfo [host[:port] ...]
mfslicinfo -h
mfslicinfo -v
Description
mfslicinfo queries one or more MooseFS master servers and prints the licence information reported by each of them. Every positional argument is treated as a master host (optionally with a port). Each host is queried independently, so a failure to contact one master does not affect the queries sent to the others.
If a hostname resolves to more than one IPv4 address, every address is queried separately and reported under its resolved IP.
When no positional argument is given, the default master name (mfsmaster) is used.
After collecting all answers, identical licences are grouped together. If every queried master returns the same licence, the licence is printed once and a single line announces that all masters share it. If different licences are detected, each distinct licence is shown in its own block together with the list of masters that report it. Hosts that could not be reached or that returned an unrecognized answer are listed in dedicated error blocks; their presence sets the exit status to a non-zero value.
